🌿 Renewal, Gratitude, and New Beginnings 🌿

I’m happy to share that my Washington State massage license has been successfully renewed! 🙌

I want to give a heartfelt thank-you to the Washington State Massage Board, who granted me an extension on my continuing education (CE) deadline after my accident. This compassionate decision allows me to complete my CE hours online while I continue healing at home — something I’m incredibly grateful for.

A special thank-you also goes to the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) for providing free, high-quality online CE courses. Because of their generosity — and the flexibility of Washington’s CE requirements — I’ll be able to complete everything I need without COST or delay and return to my practice stronger than ever once I heal fully.

On the home front, I finally received an official 120-day notice to vacate from our landlord — which, while it may sound daunting, is actually a relief. It gives us the time we’d been hoping for to plan my next move and, hopefully with luck, finding the right place & stay right here on Whidbey Island.

Your support through my GoFundMe has carried me through these past months — helping cover essentials, keeping a roof over our heads, and allowing me to focus on recovery. I truly couldn’t have made it this far without the kindness and generosity of this incredible Whidbey Island community and the friends supporting from near and far.

To make that happen, we’ll need to pay several months of rent upfront — something that will use most of what remains from the GoFundMe funds. While it’s a blessing to have this security, it also means we’re once again at a financial crossroads as I continue healing. it is my sincerest hopes that we can push the GoFund me to the phase 2 goal and make it to 20k. this will enable me and my family to make it thru may of this year.

Since I won’t have an income until at least May, I’m opening up my other skill set — web design — to help bridge the gap. If anyone has been considering building or refreshing their website, I’d love to help. I’m a WordPress expert developer with 20 years of experience in the software. I will be offering reduced rates while I recover, and it would mean a lot to take on honest work I can do from home during this time. My portfolio includes The Langley Chamber of Commerce, Whidbey Island Chiropractor, and many others. most web projects can be accomplished in a few weeks and some can even be completed in a weekend! You can learn more at WhidbeyIslandWebDesign.com feel free to fill out an inquiry and request a consultation!

Additionally, for all of you who have donated — I want to give back. Once I return to the massage industry this spring, I’ll definitely be offering exclusive discounts and specials to my supporters. If you’ve donated on the GoFund me but haven’t joined my newsletter yet, please sign up using the form embedded below — it’ll be the fastest way to hear about updates, offers, and recovery milestones.

The GoFund me doesn’t give the possibility of adding contacts to my MailChimp newsletter list so if you have donated but haven’t signed up please do so using the form below on this page. I want to keep in touch with all who have donated! I typically will post one or two updates per month via my newsletter.

From the bottom of my heart — thank you for walking this journey with me. Your kindness, messages, and generosity have kept me grounded and hopeful during one of the most challenging seasons of my life.

💙

With gratitude,
Marc Juneau, LMT
